The Staff at Misprint
Now Playing: THE REAL OI!!!

Just thought that now would be a good time to introduce everyone to the staff here at misprint...

BMF - Guru, cypher/cyber/gutterpunk...the rhetoric and soul of misprint

Lt. Dan - Webmaster, internet genius, multimedia god, and does amazing things with no money...

~Los - our nod to affermative action...also one hell of a PR genius...even if some of his ideas are a little disturbing.

CRYPTO - Her entire job, is to keep BMF from setting people on fire...also the staff artist and photographer...

Nicki - with us since the beginning, she provides comic relief and showed us her tattoos.

Tamara - HTML/C++ coder and artist, very talented and it's nice to have someone who actually knows what the hell she's doing.

Rob - Actually with Vagrant Productions, he helps us a lot with promotion and booking...

Rasputin, Puff, deCavi, and of course, Saturnalia...our transport.

Hope this cleared absolutely nothing up...

Damn Too much going on
Mood:  not sure
Topic: New Forum
In additon to the new site and the new banner, we now have a new forum. This is so vistors ,fans(ha!), and Eureka have a place to speak out more freely.

As it stands now there are 3 boards; Bands, to post reviews of bands; General, to post whatever's on you mind; and Shows/ Events, for posting upcoming events/ shows, and to plan them.

Now the forum is free, but to post you must register, also free. The reason for this is to keep spam down. Also by registering you are eligible for future contests, and possibly get to moderate a forum.

Visit the misprint hompage for the link and more info.

THE NEW PAGE...
Mood:  party time!
Now Playing: THE REAL OI!!!
So, I guess you've noticed the horrific regression the site has gone through. Well, there are several good reasons for this...

1) With all the new projects going on in the bg, decided that readability and ease of update was more important than pretty pictures.

2)With thanxforn0thing's upcoming release, all of our resources are tied up, but we had to do something...yay.

3)no money, no time, no caffiene.

all of these are true, and none are more true than the others. Still, it's finished, and now all we gotta do is get to work on the CD's...

FUXXORED
Mood:  accident prone
Now Playing: silence-
Due to a conflict with their old web hosting service, thanxforn0thing's site has moved. Their new address is:
http://tfnlakeland.tripod.com

Thanxforn0thing is releasing their debut CD 'Shared and Shed' at the Winner's Circle in Lakeland on 02/05/05. They will be giving away 100 discs to fans that show up. Also at the party will be the band Suburban Lockdown, really cool guys you should come and see.

Other news:
-----------
black-eyed will be entering the studio in the next week or two to cut his debut, which is at the time untitled. More when we get it.

If you saw us at Munn Park on the 8th of Jan, then you may have gotten a two song single from thanxforn0thing's upcoming release. I know...it's a tease, but you should really come out and see this band...if you want to hear more on the net, there is always their lame ass myspace account...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: thanxforn0thing - Shared and Shed
Come see us Saturday Jan 8th...

As we shamelessly plug the upcoming release of the thanxforn0thing CD "Shared and Shed". We will be giving away a prerelease demo that has two of the band's songs on it, as well as information on the release party slated for sometime in the next 45 days.

Other News:
-----------

First:
We'd like to announce two new members to misprint.

Spun - local emo/hardcore band

black-eyed - gutter acoustic punk

Can't wait to get these CD's out to you.

Second:
Dan realized that we were actually doing this whole record label thing...after one band was finished with it's recording and another one is getting ready to.

To Dan's credit...wait...no...there's really no excuse...we posted this almost a month ago... If he wasn't the vp of something - or - other I'd fire him...

but then I guess I can't complain...he does work for free.

Misprint Productions...
Mood:  caffeinated
Now Playing: anti flag
So, we're sitting around the office, and we're trying to figure out some great ideas. Well, we couldn't come up with any. Sorry. But then something really odd happened. Call it caffiene overload. Maybe one too many cigs. For that matter it might just be some bizarre piece of happenstance. But suddenly, the sky cleared and something strange happened. BMF had an idea. A wonderful idea. A hideously wonderful idea. "What if," thought the grinch, "We get bands to give their music away. Spend the time to do the CD's right, and give them away to the fans...allowing them to be freely downloaded by anyone. No passwords, no credit cards. Just good free music, that anyone can enjoy. Maybe other bands would get involved, a new movement...true pirate media...a way to stand against huge record labels and the oppresive music industry."
and his heart grew three sizes that day, and all the whos down in whoville fell to their knees in supplication as the grinch came among them with a bag of Reese's cups and an AK-47 and turned them into very cute piles of worm food...but I digress.
Misprint is announcing the next phase of our wonderful plan to flood the world with independant music, thought and ideas.
By the end of Jan. misprintproductions will be releasing the self-titled demo from thanxforn0thing, followed by hopefully a string of other releases from bands that share our same vision. These CD's will be released twice. First as a web release, freely downloadable, with the artwork downloadable as well. Then as a CD that should be available in local (lakeland) music stores for as little as possible. (We're talking with several about the possibility of giving them away). Wish us luck...

ALSO
----
We'd like to announce a couple of new staff members to misprint

~Los - mixer and recording engineer and longtime fan of the local music scene, is joining us for our new project.

Tamara - programmer, in an effort to actually, yknow, update the site every once in a while, we hired Tamara, a skilled HTML and C++ programmer to aid us in the website and software issues...

and there was much rejoicing...yay.
